Finally home...

I can hardly believe I am actually sitting down and have time to make this announcement... but 3 weeks ago we became a family of 8!

Yes...our 4 beautiful Ghanaian children are home!!
The US embassy found incredible favor on our family and granted our children their I-600s and visas in an expedited manner.  THANK YOU ALL for your prayers, words of encouragement and support for our family. We have felt every single one of your prayers and wouldn't have had the strength to walk this journey without them.
THANK YOU!

The adjustment from 2 children to 6 has been quite an adventure and we daily celebrate each milestone of growth.  We are discovering each one of their strengths and weaknesses and they are learning to trust and accept our love for them.

It has been one wild ride for our family.  The refining process has been humbling and brought us to an utter dependance on God.  But we are SO grateful and SO blessed for all that He has done for us and how HE has brought and blended our family of 8 together.

Please continue to pray for our family as we begin a new chapter of our life.

Hebrews 10:23
" Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess,
for He who promised is faithful."

  3. Congratulations to you all!!
My goodness, my spirit was lightened to read this post - well by the time I had wiped the tears streaming down my face!! Wow! Words cannot describe the immense joy that your children finally have their forever family, after personally knowing the pain of waiting and the crushing despair of a loss of hope from a child's perspective I pray healing for your precious family and that you continue on your journey to the no-doubt spectacular loving and bonded unit you will become.
From the trials of your journey to this day you truly are a most inspirational story of love, hope and faith in God. My best to you and your family.

  13. As you have time....pictures please. Can't wait to see the evidence of your six together and the faces of the newest family members. Names, ages too....Now that it is real and irrevocable - would love to hear their story and their adjustments. But I imagine you will have little time.

    Been praying.
